This podcast is hold by Jeff Nepali and Mark. The main idea of the podcast is how Disney shaping Elsa and Anna different with other princesses. Elsa has a competitive and independent personality. The film's definition of romance and family love is groundbreaking. It has almost no romantic love story, and the prince is thoroughly turned into a villain. Elsa's main task is to learn to control her superpowers and find value and meaning as a sister and queen of a kingdom. Anna is set to be rebellious and playful, but at heart she still yearn for Prince Charming. Finally she saw the truth and chose her sister.
2. Looking into the Magic Mirror
The authors of this essay are Lynda Haas and Shaina Trapedo. The article mainly making a compare of the princesses in early Disney films and the princesses in later films. “Disney has been a pervasive and consistent reflection of culture, the study of its versions provides insight into how preferences, ideals, and values have changed through the years”(Haas & Trapedo). To be more specific, princesses were portrayed as vulnerable characters in early Disney films, but as society began to advocate gender equality, princesses became brave and independent. Not only that, in the early movies, princesses were white, but as time went on, there were black princesses, too. I'm going to incorporate this shift in Disney's characterization of princesses in my podcast.
3. Frozen film review

The author of this review is Nell Minow. This article making a summery of the Forzen, and tell us how Elsa com over the difficulties. "I tell them that when everything around you seems to be drastically changing on a daily basis and you barely know yourself anymore, it can be a great comfort to have a movie friend that's the same every time."(Nell Minow). Elsa responding to change with courage and curiosity. This taught us understand the mistakes of the past so we can begin to work on "the next right thing" together. I will use the personality analyze of Elsa in my podcast.
